Today's guest is Lachlan Dunn, mixed martial arts expert, holistic health coach, and podcaster.

In this episode we'll talk about rebuilding connections between others and even within ourselves. When learning to love and accept all parts of yourself, you're going to find parts that you don't like, but the way to bring the collective back into harmony is by doing the internal work.

Lachlan's model of awareness work goes like this: wake up, grow up, clean up, and show up.

Magic Barclay:

Welcome back to a magical life. I'm your host magic Barclay. And I'm again, joined today by Locklan dun an amazing 22 year old who really does speak to my soul. Ah, if only you were in your fifties Locklin.

Lachlan Dunn:

Well, you know, my soul's like I was gonna say 50, but more like 500,000 or something.

Magic Barclay:

In our last episode, we kind of touched on a fair bit, but I really wanna just open the floodgate here for you to speak to the listeners. And we know the world's changing a fair bit. And in this podcast I've discussed before about the need for community, the need for families to stick together. The need for facial communication and recognition from soul to soul, face to face. I'm not talking about eyes in the sky and that kind of recognition mm-hmm we've seen such a big shift in the world, and it's great to speak to someone so young to really, you know, hear from you what your thoughts are. And listeners just remember, you know, wherever you sit in a big scheme of things with your beliefs of what's going on in the world. That's what's right for you at the moment. I'm not judging. I'm not putting anyone down. I believe what I believe you believe what you believe and that's okay. There's nothing wrong, but how do we include our young people? How do we stop the division? That's going on? You know, this, they say the first act of war is divide and conquer. Mm-hmm well, that's kind of happened. So how do we progress from here? I really wanna hear your thoughts here.

Lachlan Dunn:

Yeah, well, I think it's first the awareness that the only reason why we're dividing is because the powers be are making us divide so they can conquer. You just said of the tactic and it's an old tactic. They've used plenty of times, divide and conquer. We're the ones doing the work for them. There should be no reason at all. Why we're dividing. The only reason we're dividing is because there has been this in misinformation that has been put forth to program people to think that they need to go against each other. So on a, on one level, we just need the awareness that. It's us, who's doing the dividing for a higher power. And obviously we don't wanna be doing the work for them in this matter. Now there's so many ways to, to take this. Having, having said that for me, what pops up is, and I think this is where I want to go with it. This is, this is what's coming up for me. And my awareness is this kind of model in which I think we all need to consciously take ourselves through. And it's a, a model put forth by Ken Wilber and dip, and it goes something like, we need to wake up. We need to grow up. We need to clean up and we need to show up the only way to bring. The collective back into harmony, is by doing the work is by on ourselves, shifting our internal states of consciousness. I see most people something like this. Let's say I want to go the bit of facial hair I have on my face and I go into the bathroom, but I start putting shaving cream on the mirror. I'm not get anything done. I'm focused on the, external. I wanna go to the source of that. Reflection that projection, which is my internal state of consciousness. The external world is a reflection of an internal state of mind. So I just wanna make it that we need to be working on ourselves, shifting our perceptions, being able to open our belief systems, being able to connect, even doing our shadow work. Like I mentioned in that first one, cuz that's another big reason why we're disconnecting is cuz we're not cleaning up. So the first one waking up. So in essence, what I mean when I talk about waking up is, is this is a process. It's not just an event, but it's a process. What we're ultimately talking about is waking up to who we are and who we are not, but who we truly are underneath this. Cosmic avatar, who are we truly, ultimately, we're gonna get to whatever you wanna call a God source consciousness, the big guy, the one, the Godhead creator, you know, there's an infinitude amount of names. Really? The ultimate name is nothing. We can't speak it. It's, it's just silence, but we're gonna wake up and recognize that we are source experiencing source and it's all just sauce. This one brings a sense of imortality can't die. I find this so amazing. Cuz could you imagine living in a society that wasn't afraid of death I've studied. Into, I get deep in Ash, the terrestrials and all other kinds of different beings, but how they kind of think and, and operate. And what's their view of the universe. And something I heard recently from a, a very interesting channeler was that this race of beings who were like exist in the Asheville Roman, so sort of like exist in the Ash for Rome and certain things view death as one of the most silliest things. in the universe, connotation and description we have around death is such an illusion. It is not just an end point. It is nothing scary. It is a transformation. Everything is energy, energy can't be destroyed nor created. It can only be transformed. So there's nothing to be scared about. There's nothing to fear when it comes to death. So when we realized this, when we have this direct experience, We're no more susceptible to living in states of fear that is driven by, death. This again, the whole COVID thing, people dying in death, and you're gonna die. It's gonna come and attack you and do these things and the vaccine and this and that, like personally, like if I had to just say blatantly, like I didn't give a shit about this whole thing, cuz I'm not scared of anything. I can't die. I can only transform, you know, what a sense of liberation, what a way to live your life with a sense of imortality it's only from the human ego perspective eyes that things are wrong and broken and I can die. But from when we wake up to who we truly are, that dissolves, there is no longer this fear of death and we can no longer be driven by that fear of death from mainstream media and, and the powers that be. And we can also engage. With people because they are us. I am another, you, you are another me. What I do to you, how I speak to you, the energy I send to you is, is what I do to myself. What I do to the trees, the, the land, the people I do to myself, what I judge in others, I judge in myself, it brings this entanglement about it opens us up to on a very primitive level. Separation perspective. It's an illusion. There is no separation from me to you. There is no differences between me and you on this all consciousness on the all consciousness levels. But I just think when we wake up to that, we can bring people closer to us, cuz we can look through what I'd say is the souls lie. Just the single lie, the eye of unity versus the egos eye, which is the eyes of, of separation, where we see that I am different to you. And I am separate from you. You are outside of me, you are inside of me. And this kind of leads into a little bit about shadow work, which is within cleaning up. which is that if you really do the work and you sit with yourself, you will find every single person inside of yourself. You will Hitler inside of you. You will find Donald Trump inside of you. You will find the pedophile, the rapist, the murderer, and this is hard stuff for people to hear. I know this is quite deep for some people, but if we are to really connect as people, as neutral individuals who are just playing out their journeys, that just is, we need to accept all these aspects inside of ourselves. And I know that one's tough to accept the Joe Biden, the Fauci, the whoever it is, the Trudeau inside of yourself. But how can we transform it again until we love it? We need to love these things for what it is so we can transform them. But if we keep repressing and denying the aspects of them, that we see that we despise, that we hate we're forever gonna be separated. We're forever gonna be judging and fighting each other. Now I think work is just so, so essential for us to engage in in this time. So. I wanna come back to waking up a little bit, because there's a really cool quote that ties into my whole thing that I was talking about with I mortality can, Wobo share this quote by some amazing Zen monk. That is if you die before you die, when you die, you won't. Now, if we look at every culture and every tradition on the planet, from the aboriginals to the native Americans, to the Egyptians, to the Mayans they all had in initiatory practices, they all had an opportunity to grow up into higher levels of awareness, to take more responsibility, to become an adult. I don't know how about you magic, but I don't think we have many adults out there in the world. We don't have many fully grown people. We have. Insecure children in adult forms that are projecting, you know, or they're insecurities onto people.

Magic Barclay:

I totally agree. And, and my take on being an adult is it's not a, a chronological age thing. It's a, how you understand yourself, how you connect yourself and also how you put yourself out there. I know people who are nearly 80, who are not adult at the moment, but I know people like you who are 22, who are totally adult, because you are totally connected and totally aware of what it is that you are speaking to other people mm-hmm And that is the difference. I've even met some eight year old adults, for sure. You know, they know where they stand in life and they know what they stand for. They know their truth, they know their truth. They can use, they know your true and they'll

Lachlan Dunn:

call you on. Yeah, absolutely. Absolutely. And so, yeah, like what we are missing as a society and as a culture is we're missing these in initiatory experiences. That really from a male perspective, create meant. From a female's perspective, really create women that embodying that both the divine feminine and the divine masculine within ourselves, you know, the aboriginals had had some crazy ecstatic rituals. I'm not saying we have to go fast for 48 hours dancing in the desert, cutting ourselves, open to bleed, to tap into the, the spiritual realms, but we need to do hard share. We need to go out and challenge ourselves. We need to get out of our comfort zone. We need to have these opportunities to grow to new levels of consciousness, to see new perspectives. that's one thing within growing up, that's very important that relates to this whole conversation is there's an example that the integral life model gives that I find so beautiful. And that is you have a child standing next to an adult. Well, like, let's just say, yeah, an adult, let's an adult and it's holding a cube, but each side of the cube is a different color. The kid, because of its level of consciousness in this example is gonna look up at that cube. And see a blue side, but not recognize that the adult is seeing a red side. So's naturally gonna assume that he's seeing what I'm seeing to grow up is to be able to take the person you're with other perspective and recognize that we are seeing two different colors from two different angles, and we could continue to go on there's another person in the distance, looking at the child and the man looking at the cube, looking at a different side of it and having a different perspective on the whole thing. But we don't like, there's no need for an argument that I'm, I'm seeing blue. So therefore, because I think you are seeing blue and I can't take a perspective. We need to argue. We need to disconnect. If I was able to understand that he has a different perspective to me, could we relate. On a more deeper level. So I think that's a good example to help people, to learn, to take other perspectives and not be so rigid in your own and understand that there's, you can look at one thing, one experience from like literally a hundred different perspectives. You can zoom in, you can zoom out, you can change filter. You can put this meaning that meaning you can put this cap on and look at it from this lens. You know, experiences can be looked at from so many different perspectives, but we're so stuck and concrete in our one absolute perspective that I must project onto other people, which is completely unrealistic. Um, I'll make a note here, cause I think this is also important for people to understand and be conscious that they're doing this because it is, I would say disrespectful is that we are always, at least that I observe in society are projecting our highest values. On other people, an example, you have one person who values getting vaccinated, wearing a Mar being isolated and everything. That's their highest values. If we look at their hierarchy of values, that would be their highest values, maybe the first one being survival, cuz they think something's out to get them and attack them and you know, sort fight flight or flee state. What they're going to do is they're gonna project their values onto the other people, which means they're going to expect other people to live within their values and value, wearing a mask and value, getting vaccinated and value, being isolated. What a fantasy that's completely unrealistic. You're setting yourself up to be angry. You're setting yourself up to be frustrated you at the end of the day can only expect individuals to pursue and live by their own unique, highest values, full stop. That's all I can expect of you. That's all I can expect of my mom. That's all I can expect of my friends is for them to pursue what they perceive to be their highest values. It becomes the problem. When we begin to project these onto people, as I've stated, because now we've disconnected. We're getting angry because we're expecting them to live within our life, which is completely unrealistic. So these are kind of qualities of, uh, growing up from, from my perspective, cleaning up, gets into a. The shadow, by the way, did you have any questions or anything or any points you wanted to make on? Uh, anything I said there,

Magic Barclay:

not at all. I'm just really enjoying listening and I hope the listeners are too. What I will say here is projection is the way you put out your message. Perception is the way you hear others. Mm don't. Mix the two up. Mm. You know, what you perceive is not real, what you project is not real, but they're not the same thing.

Lachlan Dunn:

Yeah, absolutely. That's why discernment is so important. which is something that we need in this world right now. I think a discernment, like a sword that slices through to your unique truth. You can, you can see it for what it truly is behind the scenes. Summer, but like neurons that fire together wire together practice takes perfect. We haven't been, and this is another point before I get into cleaning up. Cuz you just bringing so much out of me, is that we haven't been taught how to communicate. We haven't been taught how to connect. We haven't been taught how to have conscious debates without getting emotional and aggressive and angry. You just gotta look at. The school system as an example of this. So the indoctrination programming center that people wanna put their kids in to go to for most part, that it doesn't, there is no emotional intelligence training. There is no perspective taken training. It is just, you need to think inside of this box, anything outside, any questions that reach outside of this box will be pushed back into the box will be denied, will not be answered, will be suppressed. You will just be told the what of things and never how to think. Most people don't know how to think. I did an amazing episode with my brother on health and wellness and shit titled cognitive atrophy, which speaks to the fact. One people who don't know how to think, because they haven't been taught how to think, but the underlying breakdown of their physiology from poor food and the poison, they put on the shelves to the geoengineering and chem trails and all the toxin zips spraying in the sky to all the toxins and everything. That's in your tap water to the electromagnetic radiation society in some areas has been deliberately set up to dumb people down to create that division. In some, it's almost like programmed into us, um, to play out, but society hasn't been set up to create intelligent, creative, innovative people who know how to think. And so that's reason why, you know, the we're so divided we're so. Constant and with the projection and the judgment, and we're not able to communicate on social media, uh, harmoniously and able to discern information. Um, these are factors that, that absolutely play into that. The big time, the health thing is a whole hours and hours within and of itself from the oil industry to get into the medical system. And then you have agriculture and the food system and everything like that. I'm sure as you know, it goes very, very deep. So cleaning up really about our psychological health, taking deep care for ourselves. Um, and again about showing up as more whole integrated human beings. Now, a whole integrated human being. I'm not gonna say doesn't judge, cuz judging is like this. You know, from an egoic perspective, it's this natural mechanism that we do to kind of put the pieces of a experience together.

Magic Barclay:

So we've been talking about learning and communication and things like that, but how on earth can we expect children who don't grasp language spoken language as we do as. In inverted come as adults. How can we expect them to learn, to communicate, to learn, to comprehend, not understand, but comprehend if they can't see our faces. Yes. How can we as primates because that's what humans are. And we've spoken about as before on the podcast, we are just another species of primate. We are no different. We think we are, but we're really not. So as primates, one of the main, I guess, features of communication is facial communication. So what are we doing to our young people? When they lose that language, they lose that communication skill. Mm-hmm it's damaging their psyche. It's damaging their language, their communication. What are your thoughts on that?

Lachlan Dunn:

Uh, immediately what popped up for me is simply what you use. You lose. So, because we are now cutting out these aspects of like facial recognition, cuz you gotta also think that babies like mirror neurons, when you smile, the baby smiles, you make a sad face. Baby makes a sad face. That's the baby firing those neurons and neurons that fire together wired together practice makes perfect. And so we're essentially almost like removing aspects of, literally the baby's neuro network by removing our face because we, you know, I love quantum physics and all these other things a as well, but there's this interesting phenomena called the, the Jennifer Stan neuron. Basically what it's saying is that we have a neuron for every single thing in this world. It's pre-programmed into us. It's just, once we see it, we like unlock. We've now unlocked the Jennifer Anderson neuron. Once I see mom's face, I unlock that within myself. I unlocked those neural pathways. I begin the fire up, and wire those neural pathways. So we are literally removing our whole aspect of the neurology, which is going to bleed into their perception of reality. And this might sound a little esoteric, which means more within, but since the brain creates reality, let's say that a parent wore a mask constantly forever and then took it off. Would the baby even be able to almost recognize mouse to some degree? Again, the neuron would have to begin to fire and wire together to really begin to recognize that. So we're literally almost removing facial features and parts of reality from, uh, our children in a really weird. Way it's given me like, um, metaverse vibes in a way, but like we are doing it physically in the sense, like we're removing aspects of reality from our children. That's naturally hardwired in that baby's expecting to see your, you know, your mouth, you smile. So your facial expressions it's expecting that. So it is definitely traumatizing from one perspective, not on a, a perceptual level in how we perceive it, but I think it's traumatizing in that it's stressful on the baby to not be exposed to the fullness of reality.

Magic Barclay:

Totally. And the same goes for pets and the same goes for our, our teens and the same goes for our young adults. And the same goes for our elderly. I have a friend who was working in aged care for quite a while and on the dementia ward. And of course the PPE and things like that came in there. And so she'd go into someone's room who was screaming at her mm-hmm terrified. And she'd explain to, you know, auntie Gladys or auntie Doris or whoever it was, why she's in PPE. And, you know, there's this thing they think is out there and, you know, not gonna go into that right now and it would be fine for that shift. And then she'd come back in mind you, she was on night shift, right? When people are feeling their most vulnerable mm-hmm and she'd come back in for the next shift and get screamed at and have feces flung at her again. And you know, all this kind of thing, because this poor person who is losing the control of their mind. Doesn't remember the conversation from last night and they're terrified all over again. Mm-hmm so every single shift, these lovely elderly people who have given everything they could to society are living in absolute petrifying, fear, needlessly. Yeah. It's the

Lachlan Dunn:

ultimate disconnect. It's almost like human sanitization. We just removed everything and you have this, you know, older person sitting in these old nursing homes or God forbid at a hospital. You know, where everyone's just wearing plastic gloves and God masks on, and God suits, you can't even see barely any human skin. There's not even a plant inside either any, any nature. And I think you'll find this interesting. And it ties into my whole roller coaster of a journey that I, I didn't mention cuz it is a whole thing in and of itself, but it I'll make a note on it. Cause it's interesting into what we're talking about with this disconnect. So upon my birth, I almost died basically immediately upon coming out in that I choked on my own FES. Apparently this is somewhat common. but I, I'm too sure, but because. You know, newborn babies, their first bowel movement. It's like they have that sticky tar, like, poo. And so that's not like the most optimal thing to swallow as a newborn baby coming into the world. And so I was rushed off immediately. I had no biological skin on skin connection immediately, which is what my physiologist is expecting. I was rushed off to put in a little plastic container to be touched with plastic gloves, to be surrounded with people, with hair nets and coverings and all sorts of shit on. And I'm getting oxygen pumped in externally for more people that are just wearing gloves and mask and. All sorts of stuff. For me, I feel like this played such a big role in my actual relationship with my mom and why we actually had so much disconnection. I did get that biological skin on skin connection, but not for a while. You know, my, I was on life spot. I died as I came into this world. So when we're not really getting this as like, as you've stated kind of primitive biological connection, it does influence our emotional relationships, our mental, cognition, our mental relationships, our spiritual, um, relationships that influences us on all levels. They're all synergistic and connected health and life is like a spider web. You can't touch one strand without influencing the whole entire web. So I just think that that highlights the fact that this basic biological skin on skin looking at each other, hugging each other. And if anything, I have dare to say, people need to have sex. People need to connect deeply intimately. Uh, these are natural functions for us and we're outsourcing them. We're externalizing them. We're losing our natural human human functions, which is, is sad from one perspective, for sure.

Magic Barclay:

Totally. Wow. We've covered so much. And I know we can talk more. Yes. So what I'm gonna actually put you on the spot here and ask you, is will you come back?

Lachlan Dunn:

Absolutely. I would absolutely love to it's been a pleasure to have the opportunity to share with people, my perspective and all that I have to share and just to converse and connect with yourself. So I would love.

Magic Barclay:

Brilliant. Thank you. I'm so honored listeners. You have been listening to Locklin Dunn talking. Well, we were gonna talk transcendent explorations. We kind of started there. wow. We went on the whole world there, so that's fabulous. I would really urge you to look Locklin up on all the socials. Don't forget to have a listen to some of his podcasts. And can you just remind us what they were

Lachlan Dunn:

called? Yeah. So you mentioned the first one being transcendent, explorations, health, and wellness and shit with Jalen ivory and hearts of the matrix with Marcus bird.

Magic Barclay:

Fantastic listeners. This was your episode, 1 24 of a magical life in 1 25. We have David Edwards talking about new you who knew, and he will really blow your mind. Also. Thank you so much for your time. Listen. Go forth and create your magical life.
