Some of the best advice Tonja got when her back and hip pain was unbearable was to not go to the hospital for scans because then she would accept that being wheelchair-bound within 5 years was her only path.  In that moment, Tonja reconnected with her spiritual awareness and she now uses her intuitive psychic skills to help her clients wake to their own higher self.

Tonja's favorite ways to build all kinds of health are being careful about nutrition, meditation, and journaling. She keeps an affirmation by her bed which she reads every morning.

Tonja's tips to attract wealth:
1. Notice your thoughts and reprogram them.
2.  Create an audio for yourself to listen to at bedtime that helps you reframe your thinking.
3. Forgiveness, for yourself and others.
4.  Gratitude raises our vibration in a way that attracts all sorts of wealth.

Many of us needlessly battle our weight.  To help with that, Tonja's advice is to reduce your stress and reframe your thinking so that you're grateful the way you are, and instead of using your weight as a gauge for how happy you should be.  Speak lovingly to your body about your body.  Negative thoughts and feelings increase cortisol, which then increases the estrogen produced by the body.  Excess estrogen gets saved easiest in body fat and can trigger various types of cancer.

Oh, thank you so much. I'm so happy to be here.

Magic Barclay:

You're welcome. Tell us a bit more about yourself.

Tonja Mills:

Well, I'm from the UK. I live in Devon, by the sea, and it's absolutely lovely. And I am a spiritual coach and spiritual mentor. And I have come to this point from a long journey of awakening. And I have four children. And at one point, I had four young children and my partner worked away from home and I put all of my own needs far, far away from everything, basically. So I was very, very out of touch with who, who I was. And I continued like this seeking for my children to have a wonderful life. And I'd actually forgotten about my own needs and about who I was and what I wanted and where I was heading. Looking back. Now I can see that actually I was in quite a kind of stuck place. But I didn't actually realize it at the time. So I continued like this and I started to feel really unwell. And I had really bad backache, really bad pain in my hip, and generally feeling very fatigued, quite headachy. And just generally very sort of low, low in my body, low in my spirit, low in my mind. And this continued for a really long time. And I kept having appointments with chiropractors and doctors. And at one point I actually had to crawl out of my car in order to get into the chiropractic appointment because my back had seized up so badly while I was driving. So I was really physically in quite a poor state. And I went to see a chiropractor, and he kind of did something different. And he just woke up something within me and it was like a deep knowing. He was really expansive and just incredible. He was not like the usual chiropractor. Anyway, the pain in my hip started to get really bad. So I went to the doctors, and they said to me, You need to go for a scan immediately. Because you have chronic arthritis, and you're going to be in a wheelchair within five to 10 years. And I was just under 40.

Magic Barclay:

That must have been a very scary point for you.

Tonja Mills:

Yeah, it, it really was but it was kind of surreal, because I heard his words and it was like something just switched in me. And at that point, I just decided, I just kind of knew, I thought this is not my story. This cannot be my life. I cannot possibly be in a wheelchair and not be able to walk. That's just crazy. That can't be for me. So he sent me loads of appointments to go and have lots of scans. And my chiropractor who was a healer, really. And he said to me, don't go to the scans because if you go and you see the results, you will absolutely believe that that is your path. So I decided to take his advice and so I took had more and more healing from him. And I just looked into a whole new alternative world. And it just woke something up in me and my feelings for extraordinary goings on outside of the regular realms, the sort of spirit world, started to become really strong to me. And I did have this as a really young child, but I had shut it off. By the time I was 11, or 12, I'd shut it off completely, because it was weird and made me different. So I was getting all of this information once again, about, you know, getting psychic information, getting premonitions, getting strong feelings about people, I started to feel energy, I started to see auras, it was like a whole world was opening up. And the more I opened up into this incredible world, my pain in my back and my hips got less and less. And I was guided really strongly to look after my body. So I started really experimenting with different types of food, different ways of living, to basically live my most optimum life. And that really has been pretty much my quest, since that time she has over 10 years ago. So that's kind of like how it all started, and how I got to where I am now. And I'm always inquiring what my body needs, who I am, where I'm heading. What's really, really good for me what's good for my soul.

Magic Barclay:

So you work with guides and spirit animals. Now, can you tell me what that is?

Tonja Mills:

Yeah. So, since that point of my kind of like awakening, everything accelerated and became really clear to me really, really quickly. And really traumatically and I went to see a shaman, I got in touch with my own guides, my own spirit animals, and that's journeying into different places. It's an extraordinary, fascinating world, shamanic practice, it really is incredible. And I use it a lot. I use it with drumming, and just dropping into another, another realm really. But in that realm, I get a lot of information for my clients. It's, it's incredibly exciting. And it's, it's like sort of living in a parallel universe, it is quite extraordinary. And I get a lot of information. And I also get a lot of information from my guides. And my guides, one in particular comes through me so strongly, every single day now, and it is sounds so far out, really, and I know how it sounds because I used to be in this space of not believing for a long time. But now I can say, you know, I actually have a conversation with my guide every day, he gives me new information. And that comes through me to my clients. So I'm often guided to how to help my clients or how to help others see things differently. It's it is quite extraordinary. Yeah.

Magic Barclay:

Fantastic. Now, what can your expertise do to accelerate health, be it emotional, spiritual, or physical?

Tonja Mills:

Um, well, you know, I think if you're quite new to this world, and one of my favorite tools is really sort of being careful about what you eat. And what got me on a really big health kick was juicing. And I, I love juicing, I find it really raises my vibration, and my body just loves it. And I know it's not for everybody. But for me, it's a really good way of getting nutrition in really, really quickly and easing everything. So obviously, I do have a propensity to have sort of inflammation in my body. So I'm really on top of that, and do something every day to make sure that I'm keeping really truly aligned to my sole purpose. So I drink ginger shot every single morning, apple, ginger, lemon, just a small glass but really strong, and that tends to sort of keep the inflammation down. I do lots and lots of journaling, which I find is a really incredible way to get in touch with who you are and what you want. And it sounds not as juicy as it actually is. Once you really start doing it. You realize the power of it and the power of it is quite incredible. And I didn't used to believe this. I used to think you know, what is all this journaling nonsense. Since just writing, but it isn't, it's about taking what's in your mind and putting it on paper. And once you do that, that allows it to become a reality. So you're you're creating your reality by writing it. It's, it's a really incredible process and very, very powerful. So that's something that I do every day as well. The other thing I do is meditate every day. And meditation, again, is something that I used to think was for other people, it was difficult, I couldn't be bothered, and why bother anyway, you're just sitting there. But actually, it is an incredible tool to get in touch with your true self and your - everything that is all about you, not the outside world, but what's really going on in the inside. So it is an incredible tool. So often what I do is I meditate, and then I journal straightaway, straight after. And I find those two things together, really hold up my day, really brilliantly, especially if I do it in the morning, which I nearly always do. Other things are affirmations, I have an affirmation by my bed that I, I look at first thing in the morning. And quite often it is"I expect miracles today." So I'm always setting myself up for positive results, always setting my self up to expect the best. And then I find that that is what's shown to me. And even if it isn't, I have the resources from within me to be able to deal with whatever comes my way in a more calm and loving kind of way.

Magic Barclay:

Fantastic. Now outside all of those wonderful things, what would be your top three tips to creating wealth? Now when we talk wealth here, we're talking not just financial, but personal and emotional?

Tonja Mills:

Oh, yeah. Yes, feeling that wealth and that abundance in life, it's about kind of changing your mindset. And the mindset is, as you know, it's just such a powerful thing. And I think that if you start noticing your thoughts, because your thoughts are leading into your actions, you know, and they create your habits, and that creates your life. So start noticing your thoughts. And when you get a negative thought, replacing it with a positive, thanking it, replacing it, letting it go, I find that is a really good way of bringing into our life, the life that we really crave, you know, we can turn around everything, if we just take control of it. So it is about mastering your mind. So I find that to be a really good tool to move life forward in in quite quick way actually, once we kind of decide, decide to do it. So deciding to do it with your thoughts, and then creating new habits. And also really brilliant tool is to create an audio for yourself, that you listen to at night when you're going to sleep that allows you to reframe your thinking. So a new way of behaving of looking at the world. And you can do that just by recording something on your phone. speaking in the present moment, in the present time, like you already have the hing, and making yourself a recording, attracting all of the abundance, the wealth and the joy into your life. So it's about seeing everything through your rose tinted spectacles. And another really good thing to do is forgiveness. Forgiveness is massive, because we hold so much in our bodies. So much resentment, pain, disappointment, hurt, all of those things, find a space in our bodies, and we're holding it tightly. And if we can find a way of letting that go of releasing it, of just sending it on its merry way because it is no longer relevant in this current time for us right now. We let it go. And that is a massive way forward. And one last thing, I know it's numbe four, but I just like to sa also gratitude. Gratitude, al day every day raises ou vibration so much that we reall do attract all the wealth an the abundance in so much mor easily when we see everythin with thanks and with gratitu e. It is, it is such high vibrational feeling t at we can't help but attract mor good stuff into our life, w en we operate from that spa e, of thanks of gratitude and of

Magic Barclay:

That's all fantastic information for the listeners. Now, we talked about weight loss here, many people battle it needlessly, it seems to have become, you know, just such a focus for the world is what people weigh, rather than what they do. So we do like to offer help here with people's weight, whether they're struggling to gain weight or struggling to lose weight, or struggling to be happy with the weight that they're at. So what can you offer the listeners here today to reduce their stress? Now we know stress, no matter where you are in the weight spectrum, stress is a key player.

Tonja Mills:

Yeah, stress, stress does play a really big part. And just closing your eyes and breathing into the vision of who you are, the beautiful person that you are right now. That beautiful, being that gorgeous body. And feeling the gratitude for your beautiful body. And how far it's taken you to get to this point in life, is a really good way of just grounding yourself in how lucky you actually are right now, to be where you are. Because we spend so long wishing that we were somewhere else, that we were someone else, and thinking if I was only one stone lighter, or whatever. And I will be happy. And actually, once you start to feel happy first, then the weight will drop off. And it might seem like the wrong way around. But believe me, once you start to really feel inside, the joy of who you are, and the gratitude for who you are right now, then you haven't got that big empty hole that needs filling, because you're filling it with your own self love. And you're not looking to the outside world to fill it out. So it is about affirming to yourself every day. I am enough. I am more than enough. I am perfect, just as I am. And taking some time to breathe into that. And noticing when we feel hungry. What are the triggers? Why do we feel hungry and journaling on it? What is it that keeps coming up for me? What are those old feelings? What is it that I'm trying to shove down to quash those feelings, those emotions and giving yourself a safe space to be able to bring up those feelings? And that's why journaling once again is really good. Because you can do that in the privacy of your own home. You don't need to pay anyone to do it. But you can do that and allow those feelings to come up those feelings that that you've been shoving down for so long. And I see a lot of clients with weight issues. And it is so often dark feelings that they have just pushed down and they can't face. So rather than facing them, they eat more. So it is just allowing yourself the space to breathe into your beautiful self. And allow yourself to feel safe to let these feelings come up and out. Because when they come up and out and you're free, you don't need to be eating anything more than you actually really need. So that's another key component to losing weight is just recognizing how beautiful you are right now in this moment.

Magic Barclay:

That is fantastic information. Now, I send all of my guests some questions which you've answered, thank you. And when you sent me back some notes, there was something that really stood out. And that was looking after your body. We've discussed that. Eating clean food, we've touched on that here. Loving your body, we've discussed that. Moving your body. This one got me - speak lovingly about your body to your body. Now what we know about weight, as discussed before is stress is a major player. Stress listeners can come from you. It doesn't need to be an external influence or an external source. The thoughts you have about your body, the thoughts you have about yourself, can create an internal stress. Now from a scientific point of view, stress releases cortisol, we all know that we've heard that before. Stress amps up your adrenal glands, we know that, we've heard that before. What does that mean? So from cortisol, we make our hormones. So cortisol is the stress hormone. But it's a precursor to us making our own hormones. Now, as women, and men can experience this, too, when we make too many estrogens, we become estrogen dominant, or we have a estrogen excess. And that can create a whole wealth of problems. So many cancers, estrogen based, they use estrone in the form of four hydroxy. Many other issues can be made from 16 hydroxy, which is another form of estrone estrogen. So when you say things to yourself about your body that have a negative impact, you are actually increasing the chance of dangerous estrogens in your body that cannot clear. And the favorite place for the body to store excess estrogens is in body fat. So the more you say to yourself something negative about your weight, the more weight you will gain. And it's a scientific phenomenon that many of us don't know. So, Tanya, if someone catches themself thinking poorly about their body or speaking poorly about their body, what would be your tip to cut that cycle?

Tonja Mills:

Well, first of all, I would say, don't give yourself a hard time if you do that. But instead, thank that thought and recognize that it's a thought that no longer serves you let it go and replace it. So so many of my clients say, you know, talk about their fat thighs, or, "Oh, don't mind me, look at my arms," you know, or, "I can't do this, because my neck's too fat," or all of those things are so damaging, just like you said, and actually just recognize before it comes out of your mouth, recognize what's about and what you're about to say. Thank it, let it go. And actually just say to yourself, that doesn't resonate with me any more. I am not that woman. I am an empowered woman. I love my body. I appreciate my body. I'm really grateful for my body. And just keep replacing those thoughts all the time, like a habit. Just keep going over and over because your body is incredible. And it does listen to you. So when you start to praise it, it starts to respond really brilliantly.

Magic Barclay:

I would just like to say that self love is the biggest thing and if, if you make that your mission to love yourself more, your life will move forward exponentially. You will just start attracting a brighter, happier, more fulfilling life. So just make that your mission. You know, forget the negative stuff. Make it your mission to live your very best life and love yourself the very best way that you can.
